Rhinoplasty – Get A Desirable Nose Shape For An Enhanced Look
Rhinoplasty, also known as a cosmetic nose surgery, is one of the aesthetic procedures that we perform at Body by Bloch. This procedure is usually done under local or general anesthesia to keep you pain-free. This procedure usually takes about an hour or 2. The surgery involves making a cut inside your nostrils or outside your nostrils, at the base of your nose. Through the incision, we can easily reduce bone or cartilage or increase it with grafts harvested from your body. After correction, we close the incision with stitches. We may also place a plastic or metal splint outside your nose to maintain the shape of the new bone after surgery. We will also place nasal packs inside your nostrils to stabilize your septum.
Do I qualify for nose surgery?
We will consider you for cosmetic nose surgery at our facility if you:
- Want a reduction or increment of your nose size.
- Wish to improve the appearance of an injury or birth defect
- Want to narrow your nostrils openings
- Need help in relieving your breathing problems
- Wish to improve the angle between your nose and the upper lip
- Want to improve the shape of your nasal bridge or nose tip
Consulting with us will determine if rhinoplasty is ideal for you. Set up a consultation meeting with us at our site on www.bodybybloch.com.
What happens after getting a rhinoplasty procedure?
After surgery, you may experience pain as the anesthesia wears off. We will provide pain medication, antibiotics to control infection, and then be able to go home. Your nose and face may appear swollen which will eventually fade. Swelling may, however, be on and off for several months. After 3 to 5 days, we will remove your nasal packing and recommend follow-up care. Nose surgery has a prolonged recovery. You can, however, resume normal activity after several weeks depending on your condition. You will be able to go to work after all packing has been removed. To fully notice your rhinoplasty results, it may take up to a year. Scars will not permanently disappear but will remain inconspicuous.
