Photofacial (Ipl) – Clear Skin Imperfections Non-surgically

If you are looking for a non-invasive treatment that will clear skin, Photofacial (IPL) also known as photo-facial or photorejuvenation can help you. IPL, which is the abbreviation for intense pulsated light, is one of the safest skin treatments that we perform at Skin Deep Medical Spa in the Chicago metro area. This non-surgical treatment caters for most skin complications such as sun spots, brown spots, melasma, broken capillaries, wrinkle, rosacea, enlarged pores, intense flushing, freckles, spider veins, stretch marks as well as texture problems. The treatment has minimal downtime and few side effects. Visit our spa if you have any of these complications for consultation. We will likely schedule you for IPL procedure if you are in good health and if you have a positive attitude and realistic expectations towards the treatment. You can easily set an appointment with us at www.skindeepmedicalspa.com.

What results can I expect with Photofacial?

As the new collagen is produced, your skin will look younger and healthier. Exposure to the sun may, however, compromise your good results. After photo facial treatment, we recommend the use of sunscreen when out in the sun to prolong your good look. We may schedule 1 to 2 treatments per year to maintain collagen growth, but it all depends on your condition. The result of most skin treatments is a clear rejuvenated skin.

How is IPL recovery like?

Side effects are very minimal, and most of them like redness and swelling disappear within 48 hours after treatment. Age spots and freckles may appear darker within the first week after treatment. We normally recommend 3 to 5 treatments to completely clear age spots. Treatment of veins will leave your skin looking slightly redder, but this will disappear within 2 to 5 days. Recovery varies among individuals. At our spa, we normally give our patients detailed instructions on potential signs of complications and normal effects to expect.
