How is the Microdermabrasion procedure?
Microdermabrasion is gentle on the skin. No anesthesia is needed for this treatment. At our spa, we perform this procedure by using Diamond-Tip Microdermabrasion or Crystal Microdermabrasion.
Diamond-Tip microdermabrasion – With this treatment, we normally use a diamond-tip handheld device that gently scrapes off dead skin cells. The same device suctions off the skin debris. We normally use this technique for sensitive skin or delicate areas.
Crystal Microdermabrasion – one of our skin care technicians, will administer this treatment using a hand-held device that emits tiny crystals on your skin surface which creates a gentle polishing action. The abrasion loosens dead skin layers. The same hand-piece suctions off the crystals along with the dead skin cells.
After the treatment, your physician will apply a moisturizer to hydrate your skin and give you post-treatment instructions to follow.
What should I expect after Microdermabrasion?
You will notice a healthy glow on your treated skin after a few days. For optimal results, we recommend 5 to 12 Microdermabrasion treatments at intervals of 2 to 4 weeks.
