How are Juvederm injections performed?

Juvederm Ultra is injected directly in your skin using a fine needle. The injection is not painful as it has lidocaine, an anesthetic that will lessen the discomfort during injection. Your physician will choose the particular spots to be injected with the dermal filler. Next, a thin needle is used to inject generous amounts of the filler just beneath your skin. The injected area will then be gently massaged to redistribute the filler. You can go home or back to work immediately after the injection.
