Belotero Balance – Improve Moderate To Severe Wrinkles Non-surgically

Belotero Balance is one of the dermal fillers we use at Body by Bloch. This is FDA-cleared dermal filler that integrates well with your skin and adds volume to your facial contours. We use Belotero to smooth out moderate to severe wrinkles and fine lines. Using Hyaluronic Acid (HA) fillers on my patients, Belotero is one of the fillers with the best results. This treatment is injected into your skin and has no downtime.

How is Belotero administered?

During your consultation, we will evaluate your medical history, examine your face and find out about any current medication that you may be taking. This medical information is essential to ensure that you are safe during and after the procedure. During the treatment session, we will inject Belotero gel into specific areas of your skin. To finish the treatment, we normally use a gentle massage to spread out the filler and make it integrate well with your skin. The HA filler is very smooth and will not cause any lumps or bumps on your skin. The treatment session takes about 30 minutes.

How soon can I return to normal activities?

Some patients experience swelling or redness after injection which usually subsides soon after treatment. Some return to work immediately after treatment. As Belotero® is applied by injection you may experience a slight bruise, but nothing that a little concealer can‘t hide.

Does Belotero have any side effects?

Belotero Balance has no serious side effects. Since the dermal filler is mainly composed of HA which naturally in our bodies, you will not require a pre-treatment allergy test. The procedure is not painful. You will only feel a mild pricking sensation when getting the injection. You can always request for a local anesthesia if you are sensitive to injections.

Common side effects with this HA treatment includes swelling, redness and itchiness which are described as minor and disappear within a day.

Duration of Belotero depends on where it’s injected, how much is injected, and how it is injected

The longevity of any filler depends upon a number of different factors, the actual filler being only one of them. Fillers injected into mobile areas with lots of muscle activity, like the lips or around the mouth, may only last 5 or 6 months, while those injected deep along bony planes may last up to a year or longer. Fillers injected more superficially tend to disappear shorter than those injected deep, and the more filler you inject, the longer it will last, due to the properties of “isovolumetric degradation” that these hyaluronic acid fillers demonstrate. In general, you probably should not expect your Belotero to last longer than 9 – 12 months in ANY case.
