What is ArteFill®?
ArteFill®, the first and only FDA-approved non-resorbable wrinkle filler, contains PMMA microspheres and purified bovine collagen gel with an anesthetic for comfort during injection. How does ArteFill® work?
ArteFill® is a dual-acting wrinkle filler. The secret is in its patented microsphere enhanced collagen. First, the collagen in ArteFill® visibly corrects the wrinkles then the microspheres provide the support your skin needs for long-lasting, natural feeling wrinkle correction. To ensure you are not allergic to the collagen or anesthetic in ArteFill®, a skin test must be administered by the physician approximately four weeks prior to the initial treatment.
How is ArteFill® injected?
ArteFill® is injected underneath the wrinkles, just above the skin's fat layer. ArteFill® provides the soft, supportive foundation your skin needs for long-lasting results.
How is ArteFill® different from temporary dermal fillers?
