What is Juvederm™?
Juvederm™ is a FDA-approved colorless, cosmetic filler comprised of hyaluronic acid gel to instantly smooth out facial folds and wrinkles as well as enhancing the fullness of lips. Juvederm™ has the highest concentration of hyaluronic acid and is produced with a special formulation process that makes it smoother, which results in a more youthful appearance.
How does Juvederm™ work?
Juvederm™ is a non-surgical, physician-administered treatment, which is eased under the skin using a fine needle to augment or fill the soft tissue of the dermis, the dense inner layer of the skin beneath the epidermis. Juvederm™ adds volume and diminishes wrinkles and folds in the "laugh lines," "smile lines" or "parentheses" (nasolabial folds) and "marionette lines" (oral commissures). Juvederm™ can also be used to enhance the fullness of lips.
How long does Juvederm™ last?
Juvederm™ is produced through HYLACROSS™ technology creating a high degree of cross-linking and promoting duration for up to 1 year.
Is there any downtime?
As with any injection, minor swelling and bruising may appear after the treatment with a short lasting duration (7 days or less). Normal activities may be resumed immediately after the treatment.
