Brow Lift in Chicago

Recent advances in plastic surgery have made the forehead lift a relatively simple procedure that can minimize some of the most visible signs of aging, such as forehead furrows, frown lines and drooping eyebrows that produce a sad or tired look.

Wrinkles and furrows in the forehead and brow can now be corrected from under the skin via small incisions placed above the hairline.

The procedure is performed with the use of an endoscopic camera that guides the instruments to correct the muscles that cause these wrinkles. Because the surgical incisions are minimal, this procedure requires only two or three days of recuperation rather than the week needed for a traditional forehead lift.

Using the newer endoscopic procedure, excess skin is simply gathered or pleated within the scalp area out of sight, and several weeks later this area becomes flat. This minimal incision technique opens new options, especially for men, who were not considered good candidates for forehead correction because balding could expose the scar. The new endoscopic procedures minimize scarring and reduce the chances of scar exposure.

The results can be a more alert, more youthful appearance as the eyebrow is raised, the forehead smoothed and frown lines minimized. The forehead/brow lift can also be done in connection with other facial rejuvenating procedures.
